 Gulf Times: Landmark event to mark World Book Day in the Middle East

Bloomsbury Qatar will distribute 2,000 free dual-language copies of Dog Loves Books all over the Middle East. Outside Qatar, copies of the book will be donated to the We All Read event in Bahrain, the Palfest in Palestine, the Ruwwad in Jordan and at an event being organised by Red Crescent in Egypt.

The Gala Performance of Matilda raised £32,000 in aid of Roald Dahl's Marvellous Children's Charity. This included proceeds from the auction of drawings by Sir Quentin Blake, Tony Ross, Tim Minchen and Louise Yates.
